What is a repeated cease-and-desist letter (Folgeabmahnung)?
A repeated cease-and-desist letter is a new cease-and-desist demand. This often takes place when the other party is aware of further infringements, e.g. in the context of file-sharing sites. However, the risk of repeated cease-and-desists letters can be reduced by making an accordingly modified cease-and-desist declaration or a preventive cease-and-desist declaration (vorbeugende Unterlassungserklärung).
